Kitchen Pantry Cabinets

Kitchen pantry cabinets can be quite the space savers. Though they’re large in comparison to other cabinets, with the right internal hardware kitchen pantry cabinets can more than justify their behemoth size.
There are so many options for kitchen pantry cabinets that the task of choosing what you want is a bit daunting. Start out by figuring out what exactl you need the kitchen pantry cabinets to do. Like anything else (I’ve said this about islands too) kitchen pantry cabinets ought to earn the space they are going to occupy. What you’ll lose by having kitchen pantry cabinets (tall ones anyway) is counter space, so there’s going to be a trade off between prep area and storage space. There are base pantry cabinets (pictured here) that don’t eat up counterspace if you prefer that kind.

The simplest kind of pantry cabinet is just a bunch of shelves. Easy enough, right? Just open the doors and there’s your stuff.
Some people like these kitchen pantry cabinets. Most companies offer them in a couple of different depths, 24″ and 12″. Some manufacturers also offer 18″ deep kitchen pantry cabinets, and these sometimes create a better looking transition from one cabinet depth to another than the 12″ deep pantry.
The shallower kitchen pantry cabinets are often better for small ktichens where there isn’t a whole lot of room to allow for the swinging doors.

Some nifty features you can get in kitchen pantry cabinets are roll trays and swing outs.
These sometimes make it easier to categorize the items you’ll be storing in the cabinet. Roll trays also make it easier to get at the stuff in back. You know what stuff I mean, the things that you forgot about months ago…
Kitchen pantry cabinets can vary price-wise, depending on what sort of accessories are inside. I’ll price out a few options to give some examples. The cabinets are all 30″ wide, 24″ deep, and 96″ tall…
Wide open: $965
Shelves only: $1200
Roll Trays: $1630
Swing Outs: $2035
Mind you, this is what they’d sell for at The Cabinet Folks . This is in a fairly nice manufacturers line, with a middle of the road door style and wood.
Count your blessings if you’re able to get kitchen pantry cabinets, but make sure you get the right cabinets and accessories in relation to the rest of the kitchen. Pantry cabinets should complement the rest of the kitchen design.
Good luck!
