Bremtown Cabinet Specifications

I’d not heard of Bremtown Cabinets until recently, and they’ve made quite an impression.  Keep your eyes peeled for a review, but for now check out their cabinets specs.

Bremtown Wall Cabinets Specs

1. 1/2” Front frame stiles, top and bottom rails are 3/4″ thick x 1 3/4″ wide
2. 1/2” Exposed end is 3/4″ thick plywood panel flush with the edge of the
    front frame. Unexposed end is 1/2″ thick plywood recessed 1/4″ from
    the edge of the front frame for trimability. Ends are tongued and engaged
    in a groove in the front stile. A triangular wood corner bracket is attached
    in all four corners at the top and bottom.
3. 1/2” The top and bottom are 1/2″ thick plywood panels inserted into a gain
     in the end panel.
4. 1/2” The back top and bottom hanger rails are grooved on the inside to accept
     the top and bottom panels and are rabbeted on the outside edge to accept the
     back panel, also rabbeted on each end, and interlocked into a rabbet on the
     back edge of the end panel. The 1/4″ back panel is inserted into the rabbet on
     the back edge of the end panel.
5. 1/2” 3/4″ thick solid wood shelves shaped on the front edge on 12″ or shallower
     cabinets. The shelf is 3/4″ thick plywood with tape banding on the front edge for
     cabinets deeper than 12″. Shelves are adjustable in height in 1 1/4″ increments on
     heavy gauge steel captive shelf clips.
6. 1/2” All cabinets 42″ wide or wider have a 2″ wide center stile, unless otherwise
     specified.

1. Front frame stiles, top and bottom rails are 3/4″ thick x 1 3/4″ wide. Drawer rails are
     1″ wide. 2. Exposed end is 3/4″ thick plywood panel flush with the edge of the front
     frame.  Unexposed end is 1/2″ thick plywood recessed 1/4″ from the edge of the
     front frame for trimability. Ends are tongued and engaged in a groove in the front
     stile. A triangular wood corner bracket is attached in all four corners at the top
     and bottom. Sides under deck are reinforced with 1/2″ plywood behind toe.
3. The bottom is a 1/2″ thick plywood panel inserted into a gain in the end and back panels.
4. The toe space is 3″ deep x 4″ high. The toe board is plywood and is attached to the
     end panels. A finished piece of 1/4″thick solid toe kick molding is required to cover the
     toe board and the gaps between the unfinished ends of adjoining cabinets.
5. The back panel is a 1/2″ thick panel inserted into a gain on the back edge of the
     end panels.  It is recessed 1/2″ for trimability at the wall.
6. The shelf is 3/4″ thick plywood with tape banding on the front edge, and is adjustable in
     height in 1 1/4″ increments on heavy gauge steel captive shelf clips.
7. The drawers are constructed with a dove tail joint at all four corners. The drawer sides
     are 5/8 thick solid wood, with a 1/4″ thick plywood bottom panel gained into the sides,
     front and back.  Drawer fronts are attached with screws from the inside for easy removal.
     Drawers are suspended on full extension undermount Tandem guides.
8. The adjustable sliding trays are constructed with a dovetail joint at all four corners.
     The tray sides are 5/8″ thick solid wood, with a 1/4″ thick plywood bottom panel
     gained into the sides front and back. Trays operate on undermount Tandem guides.
     Bottom trays are floor mounted and additional trays are adjustable in height
     in 1 1/4″ increments.
